This proposal is prepared to seek financial support of 7260 USD (equivalent to 16,840,000 Tsh) which will directly help us as a group of 7 higher education fresh graduate members from Mwenge Catholic University (MWECAU) to have self-employment in agriculture. This project seeks to help youths with or with no education at all engaging in productive income generating activities to make them self-reliant and responsible. This project will help reduce the problem of unemployment for the youth and hunger for the community and hence will help in the eradication of poverty in our country
fighting poverty within the youth by impacting with the necessary knowledge and skills that would enable them make their own income and some day be job creators and not job seekers.
The problem at hand is that many cases the youths find themselves in financial needs. This has put some of the youth especially girls at an extremely high risk for contracting HIV and other STDs. Therefore we consultatively came up with the poultry project where the project shall be used as a model farm for the youth to acquire new skills and training as well for further business investment and better their life. Thus, we ask you to please support our project so we can be able to help reduce the number of youth on the streets that end up doing unproductive things that have major consequences in their future.
The project aims at assisting 50 girls as a start who mostly have been sexually harassed and violated hence most of them have been rejected by their families and have lost hope. Basically we are asking for a 3750USD donation that will help in providing training, awareness and psychological care, counseling relating to sexual assault, HIV/AIDS, early motherhood and early marriages to these girls that have been sexually harassed. Your participation in helping these girls will be highly appreciated.
